Institutional Buyers
Institutional buyers refer to the unit trust funds, the insurance companies,
foreign managed funds, and our Employee Provident Fund (EPF). These
funds are the big movers of stocks due to the size of their purchases (they
have multi billions of funds to invest). Thus, their favourites are our
favourites too as it is usually a good endorsement.
However, you do not buy just any stock the fund has bought, because they
also make mistakes or buy some mediocre performers, just as you have
probably done in the past. You buy only the best ones the fund owns that fit
every one of our PRINCE D rule.
